Conclusion

It seems that with the right material mix and a well designed program recycling can be an effective way to handle a businesses waste stream.  After all it is more efficient in terms of energy cost and natural resources when compared to manufacturing everything from virgin materials.  Over the past decade recycling has built up steam and continues to drive a lot of business decisions but when hard and soft costs are accounted for sometimes the will to recycling diminishes.  As the need for recycling continues to grow in the decades to come hopefully there will be a financial reason for people to continue the push to recycle.
